So how to use Phone Recycle Bank to sell and recycle your mobile phone?

In this case. I am going to recycle my broken Nokia e65 mobile phone for real with Phone Recycle Bank. They’re offering about £20 quid for it so I’m happy with that and I want to test out their services for myself anyway.

Sell, trade in or recycle your mobile phone for cash

The process is quite an easy 3 step process like they say. On going to the www.PhoneRecycleBank.com website for the first time you might find it looks fairly similar to some of the other top mobile phone recycling sites. This I believe is because they are using the same sort of template which is specifically made for these types of sites. You can see how to use the site and there is a 3 step process displayed showing what the basics are to using them. All you have to do to get started is to search for the make and model of mobile phone you are selling. You can either type the phones model into the search field shown or search by selecting a make and then search for your model in the list. However it’s probably best to just search for your model this way as an extensive list of pages will be shown and you’ll be scrolling forever.

Once you have found your phone click on it to choose whether it’s a working or non-working phone. You will be shown a price for each. Click on if it’s working or non-working. You will then need to enter the phones IMEI number. (Dial *#06# or look on the back of phone inside, under battery) The next page that then displays will show the phone you are selling and give you a choice of how you want to be paid and choice of postage method.

Currently www.PhoneRecycleBank.com only pay by Cheque by post for your mobile and offer 3 different ways to send in your mobile to them. There is the Freepost option where they will send you a Freepost envelope or you can print off a Label and post it yourself and earn yourself an additional £1.00 on top of the already offered price! And there is the Courier service that costs £8.00. (Unless you are selling 10 or more phones). Which is deducted from the price you get for your mobile. As you click on each option the price will change and be shown as “We’ll pay you £x.xx in 7 days time”.

  1. Freepost Bag – They send you the freepost envelope.
  2. Print Label (+£1) – Print out a label and post it yourself.
  3. Courier Collection (-£8) – They pick up the phone.

If you have 10 or more phones or any questions or regards about anything contact Phone Recycle Bank on 0800 0151567 to arrange a free courier or have someone walk you through it.

Going with the Print Label option, clicking continue once you are happy you’ll need to proceed with the simple on site registration process giving your name, address and telephone number and agreeing to the data protection policy and their terms & conditions. The next page will be your confirmation page displaying your Order Reference, Payment and Shipment Method and Total payment amount etc. As I chose the print label option it explains “You have selected to post the your handset back yourself. Please include your order number on the package when posting the handset back” and the address to send it to being;

Mobile phone recycling sites have seen a rise in usage leading up to the Christmas months despite them thinking it might quiet down actually until after Christmas when people turn to sell and recycle their old mobile phones they have just had replaced with new ones for Christmas. And this will be the case for millions of people all over the country after Christmas time. And that is because selling and recycling your old mobile phone or old mobiles is a great way to make a little money when and where needed sometimes. It makes for a quick, economical and environmentally friendly way to do so. Not only to get some money but to help the environment at the same time.

But if you are looking to sell your mobile phone for whatever reason now is a great time to do so. Not only for the money you can make at Christmas time to help out that little bit extra but because the mobile phone recycling sites have beefed up the prices they are offering for mobile phones and there is more competition between them as there are now more and more actual mobile phone recycling services you can use to recycle your mobile phone for cash with.

These sites are set up to give members of the public a place to go to to safely sell and recycle mobile phones. And they offer a sophisticated website to search for your make and model of mobile phone to get a price they are offering for it. But even though each site basically does the same thing in that they recycle your mobile they all differ in some way or another. Be it through the way they can actually pay you to how much they actually offer and their features, benefits and incentives. And it pays to know which ones are the ones that are really paying the most money for mobile phones. For a typical mobile phone that’s worth around £50 some sites are only offer about £8 where as the some offer closer to the real value. Fortunately thanks to the reviews and comparisons we have done here on Sell Your Mobile you are able to see which ones are the best to use. Which mobile phone recycler pays the most money and is best for you depending on how or which method of payment you want to be paid in for your mobile.

5 Things You Can Recycle For Cash

Recycling Things For Cash

Recycling is not only great for the Environment but you can raise money doing it these days as well. There are many different types of things you can recycle for Cash. Many things around your home you probably don’t realise that you don’t even use anymore.

This is actually big business now but how many times have you replaced an electrical product around the home? Think back to all the times your toaster may have croaked it or you may have thrown away or lost an old mobile phone that didn’t work any more. Well this happens millions of times over for millions of electrical products and their electrical based counterparts. They say that only around 4% of the 1.3 Billion mobile phones in circulation are actually recycled. The rest are thrown away or end up in landfill sites somehow. Which as we all know now can have a damaging effect on the Environment. Toasters, Kettles, old TV’s, hair dryers, mobile phones, Games and Games Consoles. From old music CD’s and DVD’s to Console Games for the Play Station 1,2 or 3. XBox and XBox 360 games and Nintendo Wii games etc etc. All these types of things can all be recycled. And you can get cash for recycling them too as seen in a post we made similar to this showing how to recycle things for money.

There are other things that you can recycle for cash as well. Many people are searching for things to recycle for cash online and here we will list some of the main things you can recycle to get cash for your old things here. Coincidentally this is also a great way to raise some extra cash for Christmas this year if you need it. Either way I hope you have a good one.

1. Recycle Mobile Phones for Cash
Recycling Mobile Phone Reviews and Comparisons SellYourMobile.infoThe first one up. As you may know, we here at Sell Your Mobile, list, review and compare the main Mobile Phone Recycling sites you can use to sell and recycle your old mobile phones to for cash. With how-to guides on selling your mobile to them to what payment methods mobile phone recyclers can offer you and how much they pay so you will know which one is best for you and you can use our Mobile Phone Recycling Price Comparison Tool to get the most money for your specific make and model of mobile phone. — Just enter the Make and then Model and click Search and a popup window will display a list of prices and from the mobile recyclers. It’s the best way to sell mobile phones in the UK to make sure you get the most money for your old or unwanted or even broken mobile phone. Broken mobiles can often still be recycled for a cash amount paid to you. Enter your make and model of mobile phone into the search box on the top right hand side of this site to get an instant quote for your mobile. You can then see the prices offered for working and non-working mobile phones! See some of our mobile phone recycling site reviews.

2. Recycle CDs and DVDs Games Films and Music
We have covered selling and recycling CDs and DVDs, Games and Games Consoles here before and the actual sites online you can use to safely sell and recycle your Games and Consoles. Listing which one will buy what from you exactly to how that site works. See the three top companies online that will here in our Recycling Things For Cash post but if you want to Sell and Recycle Console Games (or Mobile Phones) . Old CDs, DVDs, Games, Films & Music then Music Magpie will purchase them from you for a Cheque payment as long as their in decent condition. See the Music Magpie Review Guide to see how they work and recycle with them.

3. Recycle Digital Cameras, iPods and MP3 Players
You can recycle Digital Cameras, iPods, MP3 Players to Green Tec provided they are in a good working condition for free. These types of electrical gadgets are in high demand by the recycling sites and they give fairly good prices so it’s a good way to make some cash recycling. See the Green Tec Review. They pay by Cheque or Direct bank transfer in days with fast order tracking and return your things to you if they offer a different price and you don’t agree. Good because some of these types of items can fetch up to hundreds of pounds.

4. Recycle Games and Games Consoles for Cash
Talking of selling and Recycling Games and Consoles, you can recycle your unwanted Games and Games Consoles for Cash or Credit to Trade Your Stuff who will give you Cash or Credits for Play Station’s, PS2′s, PS3′s Xbox’s, Xbox360′s. Nintendo’s and Wii’s, DSI’s, Sony PSP’s and Video Console Games etc. You can buy Games at some of the lowest prices to and from Trade Your Stuff as well as recycle them and you can recycle your unwanted Games for Cash or Credit or do both and buy and sell to them in the same cart. So if you’ve got a bunch of old Games Console Games list them to be recycled for Cash on Trade Your Stuff or trade them in for new games as well.

5. Recycling Ink Jet Cartridges for Cash
Only 15% of 60 million printer cartridges sold in the UK are recycled. You’ve always been able to recycle old computer printer inkjet cartrides. Or at the least get them refilled. But if you are one of the types of people that has a lot of old spent or used inkjet cartridges lying around. Or can get hold of old inkjet cartridges then you could recycle them all for cash. You can get up to £1 pound per cartridge through some recycling sites such as Mobile Phone Xchange who we’ve reviewed before as buying inkjet cartridges for cash. And the same as who also do and Mobile Cash Monster and Money 4Ur Mobile. Who all the same pay £1.00 for an old used inkjet cartridges for Canon, Hewlett Packard, Lexmark, Samsung or Philips printers and more. Beware of sites that claim they pay up to £4 or £5 pound for your old ink cartridges. Although there are genuine USA based sites that pay up to $4 dollars or so, this is for UK based recycling only really.

I hope this list proves to be useful for you it is hoped so anyway to help the Environment for our future.. Please feel free to add any other ideas you may have in a comment below.

Earthmobile Vs Love2Recycle Comparison Review

Earthmobile Vs Love 2 Recycle

Earthmobile Vs Love 2 Recycle Comparison Review

We have reviewed both Earthmobile and Love 2 Recycle in previous posts. See the reviews to find out how they work and how to sell and recycle your mobile with them and to find out more info on them before you do to get the most money for your mobile as possible.

Comparison Review of Earthmobile and Love2Recycle.

Earthmobile and Love2Recycle are two UK Mobile Phone Recycling sites that have been recycling mobile phones online for about the past year and more. They are not as well known as some of the other mobile phone recycling sites such as Mazuma Mobile, Fonebank, Envirofone or Mopay . But they both provide the same free service for you to use to sell and recycle your old mobile phone. Be it for cash or just to recycle and help the environment.

But if you had to choose from either Love2Recycle or Earthmobile which one would you choose? At the end of the day it depends on how much money you are happy to accept for your mobile and how you prefer to get paid. So which one pays the most and what methods are there?

Payment Methods
In terms of difference unlike other mobile phone recyclers we have compared, when it comes to payment, Love2Recycle or Earthmobile are both the same and pay by Cheque. Both claim to send the Cheque within 5 days of getting and checking your mobile phone. They both should email you first to offer you a different amount if it’s not worth the amount quoted on site for whatever reason. It goes under the common sense guide lines for every mobile you recycle.

Most Money Offered
Normally we would compare which one is paying the most using the Mobile Phone Recycling Price Comparison Checker but Love2Recycle are not currently in the list. So a manual check on their site is needed. Although you can still use the Price Comparison Tool to get the price offered for your make and model of mobile phone. Anyway you can do a number of checks on mobile phones and you’ll see that Love2Recycle are paying more for mobile phones compared to Earthmobile. We done checks on a Nokia 6230i, a Sony Ericsson K800i, a Samsung U600 and a Apple iPhone 3G 16GB. Every time Love2Recycle were paying more compared to Earthmobile.

Website Effort
For ease of use and usability full marks have to go to Earthmobile on this occasion. Although the Love2Recycle website is a lot simpler of a site and is still just as easy to use and navigate there is more to the Earthmobile website. There are more pages on Earthmobile as a company and what they do other than just basic terms and conditions. Earthmobile predominantly display their environmental policy and WEEE directive and Waste license on their site. As well as pages on why and how to recycle mobile phones and more. So for effort full marks to Earthmobile. But Love2Recycle do have a “Reminder” feature. To remind you when to recycle your mobile.

Community Side
It would appear that Earthmobile work more with Charities, Schools, Companies and the local community than Love2Recycle do. There just isn’t much on the Love2Recycle site to suggest they are doing anything in the community. They are a professional organisation and do work under governmental legislation to purchase and recycle peoples phones but Earthmobile seem to work closer with and have more connections to the community.

Speed of Service
As both companies pay in the same way by Cheque the waiting time to receive your Cheque is within 5 days after either mobile recycler receives and checks your mobile. There are reports that people have been paid within 5 days of sending in their mobiles to both companies if you search online but its always assumed you’ll get your payment within 5 days. Of course despite a Cheque payment being very secure you’ll have to pay it into your bank and wait for it to clear.

Conclusion
This was quite an easy comparison to do really. Both sites are somewhat similar. After comparing and having to make a decision I know who I would choose to sell my mobile with to get the most money. But you can make your own mind up.

Mobile Cash Monster or “MCM” are a new mobile phone recycling site that are run and operated by the same people, B2B, Mobile and MP3 recycling company. Redeem PLC, that run the already successful and hugely popular mobile phone recycling site Money4urMobile.

So the site is new but the company behind it, Redeem PLC is not. Redeem is an international leader in the recovery, reuse and recycling of mobile phones, ipods, electronic devices and printer cartridges. With operations in the UK, Ireland, Italy, Turkey and Cyprus, the company trades on a global level and is regarded as a true innovator in its field being in operation for 10 years. They have lots of other sites and brands they promote. More information can be found on the Redeem PLC site.

So what’s the score with Mobile Cash Monster?

Mobile Cash Monster offers consumers up to £255 for old mobile phones, iPods and MP3 players. The web site was launched this month, after successful trial under the name of ‘Money 4 Your Mobile’, received on average 13,000 hits per month. Customers can log on to the site, input their handset details and be given an estimated value based on its condition. MCM will then send out a free-post envelope for you to send back complete with handset and receive payment either by cheque or in to a bank account within seven working days. Simple.

How to use the Mobile Cash Monster site?

The MobileCashMonster site is basically a clone of Money4urMobile which, again, are run and operated by the same people, Redeem PLC. And we have reviewed Money4urMobile before (Money 4ur Mobile review) and provided a how to guide for selling and recycling your mobile phone. And we have also compared Money 4ur Mobile against Mobile Phone Xchange. I invite you to check them out first before selling your mobile to them.

To sell and recycle your mobile phone with MobileCashMonster is easy. Like selling it with Money4urMobile all you have to do is go to the MCM site and search for your make and model of phone. When selected you will need to register and enter your name and address details. You will give your email address and a password will be emailed to you for later on. The next page that comes up will give you a few options to choose from such as if you would like to print your own freepost label and envelope (fastest way to return your items). Or if you would like to request a freepost envelope.

You will then just need to confirm your address details and choose how you want to be paid. MCM currently offer payment by Cheque or BACS bank transfer only or you can donate the money made from your mobile to charity should you wish. Unfortunately you can’t donate a certain percent and keep some you have to donate all of it. I am sure more people would choose to donate a percentage to charity if they had that option. I do believe MazumaMobile have that option on their site but this is about MCM.

Once you have confirmed and selected everything you will just need to tick the box to confirm you agree with the terms and conditions. Which you should read and which are straight forward and easy to understand. Then just click the green submit button. You can enter a “Promotional Code” if you have one. The next page is the thankyou page where you’ll find a reference number and a free-post address label for you to print off. Then that’s it. Your order is complete. You are advised to send in your phone to MCM within 14 days as they guarentee the price offered within that time limit.

Comparison Review Mopay Vs Fonebank

Mopay and Fonebank Comparison

Comparison and Review of Mopay and Fonebank

Mopay & Fonebank are 2 of the UK’s leading mobile phone recycling companies you can use to sell and recycle your old mobile phones to for cash. Both of them have their own great features and benefits. The best of which we will list here so you can make your mind up which one is best for you. We have reviewed both companies in previous posts.

As you will see both offer their own incentives for using them. And both have different features and benefits. But let’s see where they really compare against each other.

First off we’ll do a check using our mobile phone recycling comparison tool to see how much they are offering for a bunch of popular mobile phones to see which one pays the most money. We’ll do a comparison for a Nokia e65. A Nokia N70 and a Samsung U900 Soul.

Recycler
Samsung SoulSamsung
Soul

Nokia e65Nokia
e65

 Nokia N70Nokia
N70
Mopay £45 cash.
£54 Vouchers.
£31.20 cash.
£37.00 Vouchers.
£45 cash.
£54 Vouchers
Fonebank £42 cash. £34.00 cash. £34.00.

This is pretty much consistent for every mobile phone you check with. What we can devise here is that Mopay are paying more for mobiles than Fonebank and Mopay even pay out in Vouchers as well for Argos, Marks & Spencers, Arcadia (Can be used in many high-street shops, such as Topman and Topshop) and We7. (Music Downloads).

Payment Methods

Compared to Fonebank who only pay by cheque, Mopay not only offer more money for your mobile but also have a LOT more payment methods such as cheque, bank transfer and offline payment (Post Office. – You will be emailed a code which you can use to collect your payment from a nearby Post Office). You also have a choice of receiving Vouchers instead of cash and you will get a little extra on top as well. I think it’s fair to say Mopay slightly outshine Fonebank here! Did I mention you can also donate a percentage of your money to charity with Mopay as well?

Website Effort
Okay I have been on both the Mopay and Fonebank website many times testing them out and here is my conclusion. At the end of the day the website shouldn’t matter as much as the service but it is part and parcel. While both have a few different features on their sites compared to the other and despite Fonebank having a “Recommend a Friend” feature where you get £3 for Recommending a Friend. And a data removal tool. Mopay have a shop area where you can earn cash every time you buy something. Not just that but you can also get Cashback through Quidco with Mopay unlike Fonebank. Also Fonebank have a blog area and if you go on it there are some ‘ahem’ unsavoury links left by commenter’s that I think Fonebank should remove but they haven’t. Both sites have lots of information on them about how they work and what they do but for ease of use and simplicity Mopay get my vote for Website Effort. An independent study by online money-making advisory service moneymagpie.com rated Mopay as the most efficient and helpful mobile phone recycling service in the UK. Mopay has won a Webuser award for its user-friendly design and fantastic features.

Community Side
Why I take the Community Side into consideration when comparing these mobile phone recycling sites against each other I’m not entirely sure. But I guess it’s somewhat important. When any website that offers a service to the public has a user support forum it shows they having nothing to worry about. Neither do but both have contact pages and work with charities and small businesses and clubs in the community to recycle old mobile phones.

Speed of Service
I’ve spoken to people who have had 1st hand experience with selling their old mobile or mobiles to Fonebank and Mopay. Because Mopay have more payment option such as the email code where you can get it, print it off and take it to the Post Office you can get your money MUCH fast than waiting for a cheque. A lot of people prefer to do this actually. They normally send it on the day they receive and check your phone. So you can send Mopay a mobile on Monday and have the money for it in your hand by Tuesday.

Most Money Offered
Mopay. Enough said. Seriously, do I really need to write an explanation now? Oh okay.. Well Mopay are offering the most money for mobiles compared to Fonebank. And quite a bit more as well when you take into consideration they give Vouchers at about an extra 15% more.

Conclusion
I’m not trying to show favouritism to any site here but it’s clear to see if you want to get the most money for your mobile you should go with Mopay. I leave it up to you to decide but I know who I would choose.
