Millions of residents in the UK currently own smart phones. A new kind of smart phone has been launched by Samsung in the United States which is actually a hybrid of a smart phone and a Tablet PC. This phone will make it easier for users to talk as well as use the device for taking down notes. The idea of launching such phone stems from the fact that a large number of people nowadays carry a secondary mobile device like a Tablet PC or an iPad to take down notes. Samsung intends to bring the best of both worlds in one single gadget.
The new smart phone named Galaxy Note features a 5.3 inch touch screen along with a stylus. The price of the phone is around $300 in the United States, and will be slightly less when it is available in the United Kingdom. As of now, the Galaxy note is available only with AT&T in the US, although UK residents can purchase other models of Samsung through local providers. Samsung revealed that the idea was to launch a flexible mobile gadget which though had the features of a Tablet PC, but was also small enough to hold up to ones ears.
Many companies have tried launching similar products in the marketplace but have not so far been able to replicate the iPad experience.
