No wonder the historical facts related to the mobile phone industry really amaze me and here are some of them:

• Whether you believe this or not, but the first SmartPhone in the world arrived in the year 1993 and that is years before many of us even got our first mobile. It was a combination of PDA and phone along with touch screen LCD display and weighed a little over a pound.

• The German guy Friedhelm Hillbrand determined that text messages could not contain more than 160 characters. Even after doing some more experimenting, he concluded that 160 characters would suffice. • Across the world, iPhone 4 Diamond Rose is the most expensive cell phone. It costs a huge £5 million (approximately US$ 8,184,968). More than 100 carats of 500 flawless individual diamonds are studded on the handset along with an Apple logo with 53 diamonds in rose gold and a pink diamond which is single cut 7.4-carat and serves as the home key. Another single cut 8-carat flawless diamond is also packaged with the phone.
