Cell Phones: Risk of Cancer?

It is a cause of concern when there are numerous reports, contradicting one another, talking about the mobile phones and the risk of cancer associated with their use. Due to their contradictory and carrying nature, I avoid discussing them here. I read one study which confirms that brain cancer is linked to the use of mobile phones, and then there is another one which says that there is no such risk. So whom does one believe? Well, I would say that it is extremely important to be careful, though there is nothing to feel scared about.

It may seem funny talking to one’s own self in public by using a Bluetooth earpiece, but it is a good instrument to use when you are chatting away either in your office or at home. When you need to drive, hands-free is another excellent and harmless option. Keeping these things in mind, one need not stress about using the phone as and when required.

Another new interesting study doing the rounds has quoted that teens and children using mobile phones on a regular basis are not more likely to suffer from brain cancer. The thing which makes the research more interesting is that it is the first study ever which has used young people suffering from brain cancer in their test group.

This particular study involves comparison between 352 children from 7-19 years diagnosed with brain cancer and 646 children on the other hand from similar country, sex and age. The results showed no correlation between mobile usage and increased risk of brain cancer.
