Fly Mobile Planning a Launch of 4 New Android Smartphones in India

I’m a little unsure about the popularity of Fly Mobile here in UK. It is a low-key mobile phone company from UK which mainly supplies low end mobile handsets to customers who mainly have connections from different mobile phone networks. They have a great presence in Indian market. As reported by UTV Techtree.com, the mobile company is contemplating launch of four Android handsets in India.

The handsets falling in the Rs. 7,000 to Rs. 10,000 price range will be available by third quarter of year 2011. Mr. Prem Kumar, CEO, Fly Mobile was recently heard stating that the company is empowering its app ecosystem and besides the handsets, is also planning to launch an India focused app store by the penultimate quarter this year.

With these new launches, Fly Mobile is striving hard to position itself strategically for a different market. They are now focusing on mobile phones having full multimedia capabilities, besides music play back and streaming video functionalities. The company’s expansion plans will get reflected in their shops and service centre network too, which they are planning to increase from 384 to 450.

What we cannot confirm as of now is whether they will remain focused on Indian market only where they are recognized as one of the major players, or will make their presence felt in UK too. You can buy their handsets like Fly v60 (a sim-free phone with multi-network compatibility) on Amazon for as less as 24.99 – a quite reasonable price for a low end phone.

Don’t forget to sell your phone for cash online!
