MFYP.co.uk Review

MFYP – Money For Your Phone

Money For Your Phone or MFYP for short as is the abbreviation and their site name is a UK based mobile phone recycling site you can use to get money for your phone with. They purchase and recycle old mobile phones from you for cash.

Get Money For Your PhoneWhat they say “Money For Your Phone is a simple recycling service which allows you to receive up to £300 for recycling your mobile phone. We have made it very easy and straightforward for you to use our service and you can start by finding your phone here.”

It’s simple to get money for your mobile phone with MFYP. Just click on the Sell Now button and you can choose your make and model of phone. You can get money for it whether it’s a working or broken phone. Just add it to the basket on site. You will then need to input the phones IMEI number. And click to sign up and enter your details. MFYP will either pay you by Cheque or Direct Bank Transfer and you can choose that option here.

MFYP can be found at: MFYP, Regal House, Miall Street, Rochdale, Lancashire. OL11 1HY, United Kingdom. And contacted on 0161 870 6354 or by email @ info@mfyp.co.uk.

The MFYP mobile phone recycling site is nicely laid out and easy to use. They have a FAQ page with common questions and answers and an how it works page explaining a little about themselves which is what you would expect. They also have their own MFYP Facebook fan page that you can ask question on regarding selling your mobile to MFYP.

Why use MFYP?

  • MFYP give you the option of receiving a cheque or a direct bank transfer payment.
  • MFYP email you when they receive the phone, when it’s tested, and when they have sent your payment.
  • MFYP only require the handset and the battery but you can still send in chargers etc too.
  • MFYP accepts phones that are on any network.
  • MFYP will even accept broken mobile phones in exchange for money.
  • MFYP has some excellent feedback from previous customers.

You can read many testimonials left on the MFYP site from people who have used their service to sell and recycle their old mobile phones with for cash. MFYP offer VERY competitive prices for mobile phones and are giving other mobile phone recyclers a run for their money. MFYP are not checkable in our Mobile Phone Price Comparison tool as of yet but you can still check on their site and use the tool to compare how much they are offering so you can get the most money for your phone. I’ve checked with a series of different mobiles and found them to be offering around £5 more per time per mobile. MFYP are offering £50 for a Samsung F480 Tocco where are the top mobile recycler in the tool is offering only £47.25 for the same phone. And this is what people look for when wanting to sell their old mobile phone online this way to a mobile phone recycler.

So if you want to get as much money as you can for your mobile phone. Give MFYP a go. I have had 1st hand experience with the owner of the site and they are friendly and always willing to help. MFYP might not be as well known as most mobile phone recycling sites but the other big players need to watch out as long as MFYP are about and are offering the prices they are.

Visit the MFYP site and see how much money you can get for your mobile.

Money4urMobile Vs MobilePhoneXchange Comparison

Comparison between Money 4ur Mobile Vs Mobile Phone Xchange.

If you’ve just landed on this page and are thinking of selling your mobile phone to either Money4urMobile or MobilePhoneXchange we invite you to check out the reviews and how to guides for each company that we have made previously before doing so.

This way you’ll know how each one works and which one is best for you. We have done other reviews and comparisons of mobile phone recycling sites against each other so you can decide which one is best for you and to get the most money for your old mobile phone. Including; Comparison and Review of Mopay and Fonebank. SellOldPhone Vs SellOldMobile Recycling Comparison. Envirofone Vs MazumaMobile Recycling Comparison.

Money4urMobile Vs MobilePhoneXchange Comparison

Mobile Phone Xchange

Here we will be doing a Comparison of Money 4ur Mobile & Mobile Phone Xchange. 2 Popular UK Mobile Phone Recycling companies that have made a household name for their selves. Both have their own features and benefits and offer different ways to pay you for your old mobile phones.

Mobile Phone Xchange
MobilePhoneXchange pay by either (B.A.C.S). By Cheque or Paypal. Argos or Debenhams Vouchers. MobilePhoneXchange will pay up to £150 or more for your old mobile by direct Bank transfer (BACS), Paypal, Cheque, Argos or Debenhams Vouchers.

Money 4ur Mobile
Sell and recycle your old Mobiles, Blackberries, iPods and Inkjet Cartridges for cash to Money4urMobile. Get up to £210 or more for your mobile. Paid by Cheque or BACS. Money4urMobile also purchase old iPods and Inkjet cartridges for cash. £1 for every Inkjet recycled. Full list of iPods to sell.

Payment Methods

Both have the direct bank transfer (BACS) option and by Cheque but MobilePhoneXchange have the Paypal option which is convenient for a lot of people and you get more money for your mobile if take the Vouchers option so again this may be more convenient for people if you don’t just want the cash instead. As a bonus you get entered into a free prize draw automatically when you sell your mobile to MobilePhoneXchange as well.

Website Effort

I have no problem with either site at all although the Money4urMobile site looks a little more sleek but you can navigate around both sites easily enough to sell your mobile which is the whole purpose. I like the interesting stats on the MPX website on how many mobiles they’ve recycled and their FAQ page etc, but they keep it simple. But I like the way the Money4urMobile site works more and that they accept iPods and Inkjet Cartridges. Plus their site appears to be more nicely laid out and had more work put into it.

Community Side

Neither sites have a blog, forum or news page that you can comment on but you can contact each company respetively through their contact pages. I don’t know the full background on either companies but there are other reviews and comments on both companies online if you search where people have experiences with them both.

Speed of Service

Where MobilePhoneXchange have Paypal as the payment option and they normally pay you the day they get and check your mobile you could say they are the fastest. Even by cheque though you should expect to wait 2-5 days until payment arrives. Both companies can pay by BACS bank transfer though and that’s normally instant with most banks.

Most Money Offered

This is the bit that matter most I guess. It’s what it comes down to ultimately most of the time when people decide to sell their mobile. That’s why I hope comparisons help. There is 2 ways to find out how much both sites are offering, by using the Mobile Phone Price Comparison Tool here and by checking manually. A quick check for a series of different makes and models of mobile phones and you will see for cash that MobilePhoneXchange offer more money.

For a Nokia N95 Money4urMobile offer £80.00 working price where as MobilePhoneXchange offer £88 and up to £102 in Vouchers (about 15% more). And this is pretty much the same for every mobile phone you compare. You can get more if you take the Vouchers from MobilePhoneXchange and they offer more money for mobile phones.

Conclusion

If I was wanting to sell my mobile to either one of these sites and were comparing them I would go with MobilePhoneXchange and probably go with the Vouchers option depending on how expensive the phone was to see what I could buy. But other wise the cash by BACS is the best option to take to have the money immediately put in your bank.

Accept Working/Broken Mobiles: Yes/Yes
Free Postage/Envelope: Yes/Yes
Payment Methods: BACS, Cheque, Paypal, Vouchers.

Highest Paying Mobile Phone Recycling Site

Most Money For Your Mobile Phones

Getting the most money for your mobile by comparing the differences in prices offered for mobile phones.

I just read an interesting story on Envirofone. It goes on to say how they have made £3.3 million pound in profit for the last 12 months. £3.3 million! Chief executive Nick Brown said: “Like all great ideas this has taken some time to get going. It all boils down to a massive marketing and efficiency push.” This is what I have said right from the start. Envirofone are probably one of the most well known mobile phone recycling sites next to MazumaMobile. But that’s only because they spend so much money on advertising and online promotion.

But also like I have said before. Just because Envirofone are the most well known and most used mobile phone recycling site. It doesn’t make them the highest paying. Want to sell and recycle your mobile phone? I’m going to make you glad you read this post. Were you thinking of selling your old mobile to Envirofone? I don’t blame you. People don’t have the time to do research and find out about companies. They just go with what they have seen and heard. And if it’s on tele it’s got to be the best right? Well we have compared mobile phone recyclers here and Envirofone are not the highest paying mobile phone recycler. Just because they are the most well known or used doesn’t make them the best for you. But they still might be.

Envirofone pay out in 3 different ways for old mobiles. Cheque, Paypal or Argos credit. If you take the Argos credit you get an additional 10% on top of the cash value. I know some people who do this. Buy something from Argos and then sell it for cash. Earning more than they would from just taking the cash. But most people don’t have the time to do that. Even still, it might benefit you more to take the Argos Vouchers if you think there is something you want from Argos. You can put them towards part of the cash payment too.

Envirofone rank about 4th place for highest paying mobile phone recycling service. A search with our mobile phone price comparison tool for a Nokia N70 will show you this.

Recycler Price Link

£34.50

£34.00

£31.20
Mazuma Mobile £31.10
£29.14
£25.50

Again Sell Old Phone are the highest paying mobile phone recycling site. They consistenly pay the most money for old mobile phones compared to any other recycling site. Maybe it’s because they don’t waste so much money on TV adverts and other unneeded promotional campaigns and they can pass that extra money down to the seller. Sell Old Phone are a straightforward no fuss mobile phone recycling site that will pay the most money for mobiles. They pay out by Cheque payment. But you can contact them if you want it paid directly into your bank.

Fonebank and Mopay trail in 2nd and 3rd place for highest paying because they too offer the most money for old mobiles compared to Envirofone or Mazuma Mobile. While you can get Vouchers for places like Argos or Tescos with some. If you want cash for your mobile and want as much money as possible. Go with Sell Old Phone.
