Money4urMobile Vs MobilePhoneXchange Comparison

Mobile Phone Xchange

Here we will be doing a Comparison of Money 4ur Mobile & Mobile Phone Xchange. 2 Popular UK Mobile Phone Recycling companies that have made a household name for their selves. Both have their own features and benefits and offer different ways to pay you for your old mobile phones.

Mobile Phone Xchange
MobilePhoneXchange pay by either (B.A.C.S). By Cheque or Paypal. Argos or Debenhams Vouchers. MobilePhoneXchange will pay up to £150 or more for your old mobile by direct Bank transfer (BACS), Paypal, Cheque, Argos or Debenhams Vouchers.

Money 4ur Mobile

Payment Methods

Both have the direct bank transfer (BACS) option and by Cheque but MobilePhoneXchange have the Paypal option which is convenient for a lot of people and you get more money for your mobile if take the Vouchers option so again this may be more convenient for people if you don’t just want the cash instead. As a bonus you get entered into a free prize draw automatically when you sell your mobile to MobilePhoneXchange as well.

Website Effort

I have no problem with either site at all although the Money4urMobile site looks a little more sleek but you can navigate around both sites easily enough to sell your mobile which is the whole purpose. I like the interesting stats on the MPX website on how many mobiles they’ve recycled and their FAQ page etc, but they keep it simple. But I like the way the Money4urMobile site works more and that they accept iPods and Inkjet Cartridges. Plus their site appears to be more nicely laid out and had more work put into it.

Community Side

Neither sites have a blog, forum or news page that you can comment on but you can contact each company respetively through their contact pages. I don’t know the full background on either companies but there are other reviews and comments on both companies online if you search where people have experiences with them both.

Speed of Service

Where MobilePhoneXchange have Paypal as the payment option and they normally pay you the day they get and check your mobile you could say they are the fastest. Even by cheque though you should expect to wait 2-5 days until payment arrives. Both companies can pay by BACS bank transfer though and that’s normally instant with most banks.

Most Money Offered

This is the bit that matter most I guess. It’s what it comes down to ultimately most of the time when people decide to sell their mobile. That’s why I hope comparisons help. There is 2 ways to find out how much both sites are offering, by using the Mobile Phone Price Comparison Tool here and by checking manually. A quick check for a series of different makes and models of mobile phones and you will see for cash that MobilePhoneXchange offer more money.

For a Nokia N95 Money4urMobile offer £80.00 working price where as MobilePhoneXchange offer £88 and up to £102 in Vouchers (about 15% more). And this is pretty much the same for every mobile phone you compare. You can get more if you take the Vouchers from MobilePhoneXchange and they offer more money for mobile phones.

Conclusion

If I was wanting to sell my mobile to either one of these sites and were comparing them I would go with MobilePhoneXchange and probably go with the Vouchers option depending on how expensive the phone was to see what I could buy. But other wise the cash by BACS is the best option to take to have the money immediately put in your bank.
